How Do I Delete My Account or Organization?

How do I delete my account or organization?

Two different things. Pick the right one.

Removing one person's access

Deactivate the user. An Owner does this at Dashboard → Users.

Deactivation revokes access immediately, on that person's next request, while preserving all their history and attribution. Their Person record stays, so assignments and custody history survive.

It also frees a seat on your plan.

See Deactivating users.

Deleting the whole organization

Owner only, at Settings → Organization.

Two paths:

The grace path. The organization moves to pending deletion with a date 30 days out. Access is restricted, and you can cancel at any point in that window.

The immediate path. User identifiers are scrubbed and connected sign-in accounts detached at once. There is no recovery.

After permanent erasure, no customer file remains.

See How to delete your organization.

Deleting is not cancelling

Cancel subscriptionDelete organization
Billing stopsAt the end of the period
Data keptYes, everythingNo — permanently erased
ReversibleYes, reactivate before the period endsOnly within the 30-day grace window

If you just want to stop paying, cancel the subscription. Your organization and its records remain — and Nova is free forever, so there is no need to delete anything to stop being billed.

Before you delete

Export what you want to keep. Assets, reports, and the Fixed Asset Register export to CSV, Excel, and PDF. Once erasure completes there is no recovery route.

Common questions

Can I delete my own user account? Ask your Owner to deactivate you. Only the Owner can manage users.

I am the Owner and want to leave. Transfer ownership first, then have the new Owner deactivate you.

Does deleting cancel my subscription? Cancel it separately at Settings → Billing.

Can support recover a deleted organization? Not after permanent erasure. That is what the 30-day window is for.
