Delete Your Account - Account Deletion and Data Removal

Overview

You can delete your UniAsset account or organization at any time. We use a 30-day delayed deletion process to protect against accidental data loss.

Types of Deletion

Delete Your User Account

Removes your personal account while keeping the organization intact.

• Your access is removed
• Other users are not affected
• Organization data remains
• Cannot be undone after 30 days

Delete Organization (Owner Only)

Completely removes the organization and all data.

• All users lose access
• All assets are deleted
• All documents are removed
• All history is erased
• Cannot be undone after 30 days

How to Delete

Delete Your Account

1. Go to Settings
2. Navigate to Preferences
3. Scroll to Danger Zone
4. Click Delete Account
5. Confirm your decision

Delete Organization (Owner Only)

1. Go to Settings
2. Navigate to Organization
3. Scroll to Danger Zone
4. Click Delete Organization
5. Confirm your decision

30-Day Waiting Period

For your protection, deletion is not immediate:

Cancel Pending Deletion

Changed your mind? During the 30-day period:

1. Go to Settings
2. Find the deletion warning banner
3. Click Cancel Deletion
4. Your account continues as normal

Before You Delete

Export Your Data

We strongly recommend exporting your data before deletion:

1. Go to Assets → Export
2. Download your complete asset list
3. Export any reports you need
4. Save documents locally if needed

Check for Dependencies

Consider:

• Will other users lose access?
• Do you need compliance records?
• Should you transfer ownership first?

• Your notification history
• Your saved filters

Organization Deletion

• All user accounts
• All assets and consumables
• All uploaded documents and images
• All maintenance records
• All categories, locations, departments
• All settings and customizations
• All history and audit logs

Data Removal Compliance

UniAsset's deletion process complies with:

• GDPR (Right to be Forgotten)
• Data protection regulations
• Customer data rights

After the 30-day period, data is permanently and irrecoverably deleted from our systems.
