Overview

UniAsset provides storage for asset images and documents. Each plan includes a specific storage quota.

What Uses Storage?

Documents

  • PDF files (manuals, warranties)
  • Compliance certificates
  • Insurance documents
  • Invoices and receipts
  • Any uploaded attachments

Images

  • Asset photographs
  • Product images
  • Before/after maintenance photos
  • Location images

Checking Your Usage

  1. Go to Settings
  2. Click Plan & Usage
  3. View your storage usage bar

What Happens at the Limit?

When you reach your storage limit:

  • You'll receive a warning notification
  • You cannot upload new files
  • Existing files remain accessible
  • You can still view and download files

Managing Storage

Optimize Images

Before uploading:

  • Resize large images (1920px wide is usually sufficient)
  • Compress images using online tools
  • Use JPEG for photos, PNG only when transparency needed

Remove Unused Files

  1. Review assets for outdated documents
  2. Delete expired or superseded documents
  3. Remove duplicate files

Archive Old Documents

Consider:

  • Download and archive locally
  • Keep only current versions in UniAsset
  • Remove historical documents you've backed up

Is there a per-file size limit?

Individual files should be under 10 MB for best performance.

Currently, storage is tied to your plan. Upgrade for more storage.
