What is Incident Mode?
Incident Mode is a reactive truth system. When something goes wrong with an asset — a failure, malfunction, or critical event — you trigger Incident Mode to preserve the exact state of that asset at that moment.
The Core Principle: Immutable Evidence
Once you report an incident, the asset's state is captured and locked forever. This snapshot cannot be modified, deleted, or tampered with. It represents the absolute truth at the moment of the incident.

How Incident Mode Works

A critical asset malfunctions, breaks down, or experiences an incident that requires investigation or documentation.
2. Click "Report Incident"
From the asset detail page, click the Report Incident button. Enter a title, select severity, and optionally add a description.
3. Snapshot Captured Instantly
The system captures the complete asset state: status, assignment, maintenance history, documents, location, and recent events. Everything is locked.
4. Investigate and Document
Add investigation notes as you learn more. Update incident status. The original snapshot remains untouched while you document findings.
5. Export Evidence Pack
Generate a complete evidence report including the snapshot, maintenance history, document validity, timeline, and investigation notes. Ready for auditors.
