What are the plan limits in UniAsset?
The limits
| Limit | Nova | Orbit | Odyssey | Cosmos |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Assets | Unlimited | Unlimited | Unlimited | Unlimited |
| Users | 5 | 15 | Unlimited | Unlimited |
| Storage | 500 MB | 5 GB | 50 GB | Unlimited |
| Email notifications per month | Weekly digest only | 500 | Unlimited | Unlimited |
Assets are never limited
On any plan, including the free one. UniAsset will never prompt an upgrade because you have too many assets.
What counts toward each limit
Users are sign-in accounts. People do not count — a contractor an asset is assigned to uses no seat unless they can log in. A 5-user Nova organization can have hundreds of People.
Storage is your unarchived documents, unarchived images, and work order photos. Demo data is excluded.
Archiving frees storage immediately, and is reversible — the file is retained so you can unarchive it, which re-adds the bytes.
Email notifications are the alert emails sent to your organization in a month.
Warnings fire at 80%
Not at 100%. UniAsset is designed as an early-warning instrument — a warning at 100% tells you about a problem you already have.
Warnings are shown to the Owner only. Viewers and other roles never see upgrade prompts.
Check usage at Settings → Plan & Usage (Owner only).
What happens at a limit
You cannot add beyond it — a sixth user on Nova, or an upload that would exceed your storage. Existing data is untouched and fully readable.
Special plans
Nonprofit — 20 users, 25,600 MB storage, 500 emails a month, with Orbit-equivalent capabilities.
Business (legacy) — 50 users, 100 GB.
Staying within them
For users: create People rather than users for anyone who does not need to sign in, and deactivate leavers — that frees the seat and keeps their history.
For storage: archive documents and images you no longer need actively, and avoid uploading full-resolution photos of documents.
