How to apply a promo code
Promo codes are entered at checkout, validated, and previewed before you pay.
Requirements
- Roles: Owner only — checkout is Owner-only
- A self-serve paid plan: Orbit or Odyssey
Steps
- Go to Settings → Billing → Subscription.
- Choose your plan.
- Enter your promo code.
- The code is validated and the discounted amount is shown.
- Complete checkout.
What a promo code can be
| Type | What it does |
|---|---|
| Percentage | A percentage off |
| Fixed amount | A set amount off |
| Free months | A number of months at no charge |
Eligibility rules
A promotion can be restricted by:
- Validity window — start and end dates
- Redemption cap — a limit on total uses
- Eligible plans — some codes only apply to specific plans
- Billing cycle — monthly, annual, or both
- New customers only — some codes are restricted to organizations that have not subscribed before
Your organization can redeem a given promotion once.
Common mistakes
Trying to apply a code after paying. Codes are applied at checkout, before payment.
Using a code intended for a different plan. Codes can be restricted to specific plans and billing cycles.
Re-using a code on a second subscription change. One redemption per promotion, per organization.
Troubleshooting
My code was rejected. Check it has not expired, that it applies to the plan and billing cycle you selected, and that your organization has not already redeemed it. New-customer codes will not apply if you have subscribed before.
I can't find where to enter a code. Codes are entered during checkout at Settings → Billing → Subscription. Checkout is Owner-only.
The preview showed a discount but I was charged full price. Contact support with the code. For a discount to reduce the actual charge, the promotion needs to carry the matching provider-side discount identifier — without it the code validates and previews correctly but the amount charged stays at the plan price.
I'm on Nova and can't enter a code. Nova is free and has no checkout. Codes apply when subscribing to a paid plan.
