Profile Settings - Update Personal Information and Security

Overview

The Profile Settings page lets you manage your personal account information in UniAsset. From here you can update your display name and mobile number, change your password via email verification, and review your recent login sessions for security purposes.

Every logged-in user can access this page — no special role or permission is required.

Who Can Access This

All users (any role) can access and manage their own profile settings. You can only edit your own profile — not other users' profiles.

How to Access This Section

  1. Log in to your UniAsset account
  2. Click Settings in the left sidebar
  3. Select Profile
  4. The Profile page loads with three sections: Personal Information, Change Password, and Login History

Personal Information

What you can update

Full Name

  • Your display name shown throughout UniAsset
  • Required field — cannot be left blank
  • Maximum 100 characters

Mobile Number

  • Optional contact number for your account
  • Select a country code from the dropdown (e.g., IN +91, US +1, UK +44)
  • Enter the number without the country code (e.g., 9876543210)
  • Both fields can be cleared by selecting "None" for the country code and leaving the number blank

What you cannot change

Email Address

  • Your email is fixed and cannot be modified from this page
  • It is displayed as a read-only field for reference

How to update your name or mobile number

  1. Navigate to Settings > Profile
  2. In the Personal Information card, edit the Full Name field and/or the Mobile Number fields
  3. For mobile, select your Country Code from the dropdown, then enter the number in the Mobile Number field
  4. Click Save Changes
  5. A confirmation toast appears: "Profile updated successfully"

Change Password

Password changes in UniAsset use email verification to keep your account secure. You do not enter a new password directly on this page — instead, a secure reset link is sent to your registered email address.

How to change your password

  1. Navigate to Settings > Profile
  2. Scroll to the Change Password card
  3. Click Send Verification Email
  4. Check your inbox for a password reset link
  5. Click the link in the email and follow the prompts to set a new password
  6. The reset link expires in 30 minutes — request a new one if it expires

If you do not receive the email, check your spam or junk folder. You can click Send Again on the profile page to resend the link.

Login History

The Login History card shows your last 10 login sessions. Use it to spot any unfamiliar access and verify your account has not been accessed without your knowledge.

What each column shows

IP AddressThe network address the login came from
DeviceBrowser and operating system, or device type (e.g., Chrome on Windows, Mobile, Tablet)

If the table is empty, no login history has been recorded yet.

What to do if you see an unrecognised login

If you notice a login from an IP address or device you do not recognise:

  1. Change your password immediately using the Change Password card above
  2. Contact your organization Owner or Admin to report the suspicious access

Important Notes & Limitations

Email cannot be changed

  • Your account email is set when the account is created and cannot be updated from the profile page. Contact your organization Owner if your email address needs to change.

Password changes require access to your email

  • If you no longer have access to your registered email, contact your organization Owner or UniAsset support.

Login history shows the last 10 sessions only

  • Older sessions are not stored. Check regularly if you want to monitor access over time.

Country codes available

  • The mobile number field supports: US/CA, UK, India, Australia, Germany, France, Japan, China, Brazil, UAE, Singapore, Malaysia, Nigeria, South Africa, South Korea, Italy, Spain, Netherlands, Sweden, and Switzerland.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I change my email address?

No. Your email address is read-only and cannot be changed from the Profile page. If you need to update the email associated with your account, contact your organization Owner or UniAsset support.

The password reset email is not arriving — what should I do?

Check your spam or junk folder. If it is not there, click Send Again on the Profile page. The link expires after 30 minutes, so request a fresh one if needed.

How many past logins can I see?

The Login History section shows your last 10 login sessions. Sessions older than that are not displayed.

Can I see other users' login history?

No. Each user can only view their own login history. Admins and Owners do not have access to other users' login histories from this page.

Can I remove my mobile number after adding it?

Yes. Set the Country Code dropdown to "None" and clear the Mobile Number field, then click Save Changes.
