How to fix sign-in problems
"Invalid email or password"
Check the email address. Email is your identity in UniAsset and is unique across the whole platform.
Reset your password. Use the reset link on the sign-in page. The link is single-use and expires, so request a fresh one if it has been sitting in your inbox.
Check you have a password at all. If you signed up with Google or Microsoft, there is no password on the account — sign in through that provider instead.
"Email already exists" when signing up
Email is unique platform-wide, not per organization. That address already has a UniAsset account.
- If it is your account in another organization, you need a different email address for this one. A user belongs to one organization and cannot move between them.
- If you were invited, use the invitation link rather than signing up fresh.
- If you are a deactivated user in this organization, an Owner needs to reactivate you rather than re-invite.
Google or Microsoft sign-in fails
Use the same provider you signed up with. An account created with Google is not reachable through Microsoft.
Allow the popup. OAuth opens a provider window; blockers stop it.
Check the account. Signing in with a personal Google account when your organization uses a work account will not find your UniAsset user.
See Signing in with Google or Microsoft.
I was signed in and now I am not
Your account may have been deactivated. Deactivation revokes access immediately, on the next request. Ask your Owner.
Your role or organization status may have changed. Authorization is re-read from the database on every request, so changes apply immediately rather than at next sign-in.
Your session may have expired. Sign in again.
The invitation link does not work
Invitation tokens are single-use and expire. If it has been used or has lapsed, ask the person who invited you to send a fresh one.
Use the address the invitation was sent to. Accepting with a different email creates a separate account.
I never received the verification email
You are not locked out. Verification is prompted, not enforced — you can use the product while it is outstanding.
Check your spam folder, and see Email not received. Expired verification tokens can be reissued.
Sign-up was rejected
Registration screens out disposable mailbox domains and domains that cannot receive mail. Use a real work address.
The page will not load at all
- Hard refresh.
- Try a private window, which rules out extensions and cached state.
- Try a different browser.
- Check cookies are enabled — sign-in cannot work without them.
Checking your own sign-ins
Once you are in, Settings → Profile shows your recent sign-ins with date, IP address, and approximate location.
If you see one you do not recognise, change your password and tell your Owner.
