Signing In with Google or Microsoft
UniAsset supports sign-in with Google and Microsoft on all plans. Instead of creating a separate password, you can use your existing Google or Microsoft account to access UniAsset.
Who Can Use This
Available on: Free, Starter, Growth, and Enterprise plans
Works for:
- Creating a new organization
- Joining an existing organization via invitation
- Signing in to an existing SSO-linked account
Signing In from the Login Page
If you already have a UniAsset account linked to Google or Microsoft:
- Go to app.uniasset.app
- Click Continue with Google or Continue with Microsoft
- Select or confirm your account in the provider's popup
- You are signed in immediately
💡 TIP: If you're not sure which sign-in method your account uses, try Google or Microsoft first. If neither works, your account may use email and password — use the standard sign-in form instead.
Registering a New Organization with SSO
If you're setting up UniAsset for the first time using Google or Microsoft:
- Go to the UniAsset sign-up page
- Click Continue with Google or Continue with Microsoft
- Authorize UniAsset in your provider's consent screen
- UniAsset will prompt you to complete your organization setup:
- Organization name (required)
- Country (required)
- Click Create Organization
- You are signed in and your organization is ready
Your account is linked to your Google or Microsoft identity. No separate UniAsset password is created.
💡 TIP: Email verification is not required for SSO accounts. Your identity provider has already verified your email address, so you can start using UniAsset immediately after registration.
Accepting an Invitation with SSO
If someone has invited you to join an existing UniAsset organization:
Step 1: Open the Invitation Email
- Check your inbox for an email with subject: "You've been invited to UniAsset"
- Click Accept Invitation
Step 2: Complete Setup Using SSO
On the account setup page:
- Click Continue with Google or Continue with Microsoft instead of entering a password
- Authorize UniAsset in your provider's consent screen
- Your account is created and linked to your Google or Microsoft identity
💡 TIP: Make sure you sign in with the same Google or Microsoft account that matches the email address used in the invitation.
Step 3: Sign In
After accepting, you are signed in directly. On future visits, use Continue with Google or Continue with Microsoft from the login page.
How SSO Accounts Differ from Password Accounts
| SSO Account | Password Account | |
|---|---|---|
| Sign-in method | Google or Microsoft | Email + password |
| Email verification | Not required (provider verifies) | Required |
| Password reset | Not available — manage via provider | Available on login page |
| Account security | Managed by Google/Microsoft | Managed in UniAsset |
Password Reset and SSO
Password reset is not available for SSO-only accounts.
If you signed up using Google or Microsoft, your credentials are managed by that provider. To change your password or recover access, use your Google or Microsoft account settings directly.
If you need to access UniAsset and cannot sign in to your provider account, contact your Google or Microsoft administrator.
Troubleshooting
"No account found" after clicking Continue with Google/Microsoft
Your Google or Microsoft account may not be linked to a UniAsset account yet.
If you were invited:
- Check that you are using the same email address as the invitation
- Accept the invitation link first, then sign in with SSO
If you are registering:
- Use the sign-up page to create a new organization
"Email already in use" during SSO registration
An account with that email already exists in UniAsset using a different sign-in method.
Solution:
- Try signing in with email and password on the standard login form
- If you've forgotten your password, use Forgot Password on the login page
- Contact support@uniasset.app if you're unsure which method was used
SSO popup blocked by browser
