Main Office — the default Site
Every organization starts with a Site named Main Office.
It is the default operational Site so Locations and Assets always have a valid Site from day one.
What Main Office is
- Your organization's first Site
- Created automatically when the organization is set up
- Counted toward your plan's active Site limit like any other Site
On Nova, Main Office uses your single included Site slot (1 of 1 active Site used).
On Orbit, Main Office is Site #1 of up to 3 active Sites.
On Odyssey, Cosmos, and other unlimited plans, Main Office is simply the first of as many Sites as you need.
Existing organizations
When Sites were introduced, existing Locations were placed under each organization's Main Office Site. You do not need to recreate Locations after that change.
Managing Main Office
You can edit Main Office like any other Site:
- Rename it
- Update description, address, and coordinates
Manage it at Dashboard → Sites.
Main Office is not a permanent physical label — rename it to match how your organization actually operates (for example Head Office or Central Campus) if that is clearer for your team.
Archiving
Sites archive rather than delete. A Site with active Locations cannot be archived. If you archive Main Office after clearing its Locations, it no longer counts as an active Site toward your plan limit.
