How to export reports from UniAsset
Every report exports to CSV, Excel, or PDF.
Requirements
- Available on: All plans. Individual reports have their own plan requirements.
- Roles: Owner, Admin, Manager
Steps
- Go to Dashboard → Reports.
- Open the report you want.
- Apply your filters.
- Export in the format you need.
Choosing a format

Exporting a filtered asset list
You do not have to use the Reports section to get data out.
Filter the asset list at Dashboard → Assets (Individual) and export what you see. The export includes your custom fields.
Filter state is part of the URL, so a filtered view can be bookmarked or shared with a colleague before anyone exports anything.

Reports are always current
Reports are derived at read time from your live records. There are no saved report definitions and no cached results, so a report can never be stale relative to the data.
The one exception is the Fixed Asset Register snapshot export, where the point-in-time figures are the deliverable — which is exactly what an audit needs.
Data portability
Your data is yours. Assets, reports, and the Fixed Asset Register all export, so you are never locked in.
Common mistakes
Exporting before filtering. You get everything, then filter in a spreadsheet — which is slower and loses the shareable URL.
Using PDF for data you intend to work on. Use CSV or Excel.
Treating an export as a backup. It is a point-in-time extract, not a restore path.
Troubleshooting
There is no export option. Check you can see the report at all — viewing reports needs Manager or above.
A report tab is locked. Individual reports have plan requirements. Depreciation and cost reports need Orbit or above; checkout reports need Orbit or above.
My custom fields aren't in the export. Custom fields are included in asset exports. Check the field is not archived, and that your plan includes custom fields.
The export is empty. Your filters probably exclude everything. Clear them and try again.
Numbers don't match another report. Different reports answer different questions — total cost of ownership is not net book value, and archived assets are excluded from active reporting.
